WOW! This unique home in the heart of Santa Cruz it's really something special. You will love all day sun exposure! The backyard faces east toward all the best views, overlooking downtown Santa Cruz and towards Beach Hill. You even have glimpses of the ocean through the palm trees. Watch the sunrise every morning while you sip a beverage, exercise, yoga, or meditation time.
The kitchen is well equipped to do pretty much any kind of cooking you would like. The dining room and living room are separate rooms but all open to each other. The dining room has 12 foot ceilings and a table that can set a good sized group of people in a relaxed fashion. You can also open up the dining room doors and the living room doors out to a private lanai that opens up to the backyard and pool area. This enables year round outdoor entertaining or just hanging out. The master bedroom is upstairs with its own private deck and bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the other 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. The pool and hot tub are for your use as well. All utilities (electric, natural gas, water, garbage and internet) costs have run between $500 and $700 per month. Heating the pool and hot tub is solar with a natural gas pool heater as needed.
The yard meanders its way across the pool and BBQ area to the grass and upper garden. Then there is the bluff / hill which is another garden in itself. It is all maintained for you. Once a week we have the landscaper work on the yard and bluff / hill to keep it in great shape for you to enjoy. The pool and hot tub will also be maintained and is included in the rent. The pool house (completely separate building other than the roofs being attached) is also part of the rental. The owners will be maintaining the garden with the help of the landscaper. The garden shed will not be included in the rental. The owner will use and access the garden shed to keep some of their stuff. However, feel free to use and walk around the garden.
This property is in the Santa Cruz city limits and has many good public schools within walking distance.
The Pacific Ocean is a 5 minute bike ride away. If you like to surf or want to learn how, that is no problem as you have a learning surfing break and then more advanced surf breaks all within five to ten minutes on a bicycle. If it's just the beach you want, that's also within five minutes on a bike.
Downtown Santa Cruz is within a five minute bike ride away. Walking is also a great option. Spend the evening downtown Santa Cruz and walk home at the end of the evening after a wonderful dinner or many other experiences that downtown Santa Cruz has to offer.
