Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History

If you want to learn more about the area, you can sate your curiosity at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History. For over 100 years, this public museum has been teaching the Santa Cruz community about the region’s plant and animal life. The museum features exhibits, workshops, educational activities, and lectures about the local environment and ecosystems. There’s also a large Gray Whale sculpture on display at its entrance, which has since become a fixture in the community.

Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor

A favorite spot for morning jogs, the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor is a staple of Seabright. Easily accessible from the Arana Gulch trail, residents can bike or walk down the length of the harbor, enjoying the sunshine, languid water, and beautiful yachts moored to the dock. Beyond housing the boats of Santa Cruz County residents, the Yacht Harbor is also home to plenty of great traditions, like the lighted boat parades that take place during the holidays.
