Arana Gulch
Whether you’re looking for a great spot to bike, hike, or walk, Arana Gulch Trail has you covered. This public park contains 63 acres of open nature ready for you to explore. The main trail will bring you through scenic meadows, pastures, and wetlands – and if you’re lucky, you might just spot a Santa Cruz tar plant. This state endangered species was almost lost until efforts were launched to recover it. Today, Arana Gulch is one of the few places where the tar plant still exists.
